最近、クリエイティビティに関する本を読んでいて、「新しい音楽とは情報の確かさと不確かさが混在しているもの」という言葉が心に残りました。この言葉を聞いて、音楽の持つ独自の魅力や、聴く人に与える影響について考えさせられました。確かに、私たちが「新しい」と感じる音楽には、ある程度馴染みのある要素が含まれつつ、それを超える新しい試みが必要不可欠なんだと思います。
特に、アップリフティングトランスというジャンルに目を向けると、その構成や音には明確な特徴が見られます。このジャンルは、感情を高揚させるメロディや、リズミカルなビートが特徴で、聴く人を引き込む力があります。具体的には、エモーショナルなコード進行や、ドロップ部分での高揚感、そして繊細な音のレイヤリングが重要な要素です。これらの要素を理解し、それに基づいて音楽を作ることは、自分自身にとっても「ある程度馴染みがあるもの」を創り出すための大切なステップだと感じています。
また、音楽理論やミキシングマスタリングの知識やテクニックを増やすことも重要ですが、それだけでは良い音楽を作ることには繋がりません。音楽制作においては、技術的なスキルと同じくらい、独自の視点や「新しいもの」を生み出すクリエイティブな発想が求められます。つまり、良い音楽を作るためには、テクニックと創造性が両輪となって働くことが必要と感じます。
このような音楽制作の過程は、時に大変で、また時にやり甲斐を感じる瞬間でもあります。新しい音楽を創り出すための挑戦は、自己表現の一環としても非常に魅力的ですから、これからも自分の音楽を探求し続けて、確かさと不確かさが混在する新しい音楽の世界に挑んでいきたいと思っています。

Recently, I read a book about creativity that left a lasting impression with the phrase, “New music is a mixture of certainty and uncertainty in information.” This statement made me reflect on the unique charm of music and the impact it has on listeners. Indeed, the music we perceive as “new” contains familiar elements while also requiring groundbreaking attempts that go beyond those elements.
When I focus on the genre of uplifting trance, I notice clear characteristics in its structure and sound. This genre is defined by melodies that elevate emotions and rhythmic beats that capture the listener’s attention. Specifically, emotional chord progressions, the exhilaration in the drop sections, and the delicate layering of sounds are crucial elements. Understanding and creating music based on these factors is an essential step for me to produce something that I feel is “somewhat familiar.”
Furthermore, while increasing knowledge of music theory, mixing, and mastering techniques is important, it alone does not guarantee the creation of good music. In music production, alongside technical skills, a unique perspective and the ability to generate “new things” through creative thinking are also required. In other words, I believe that both technique and creativity must work in tandem to produce great music.
The process of music production can be challenging at times, yet it also brings moments of fulfillment. The challenge of creating new music is incredibly appealing as a form of self-expression. Therefore, I want to continue exploring my music and take on the challenge of delving into the world of new music, where certainty and uncertainty coexist.
